The largest of the British Virgin Islands is connected by bridge
to the Beef Island Airport. In Spanish Tortola means turtle dove, and the coo of those
birds is - except for a few discotheques - the only "noise", which disturbs this paradisiacal
calmness. Tortola is also a starting point for many
sailing cruises throughout the Virgin Islands.
